Save Money Use LEDs

Never has there been a more exciting time for LED lighting technology than we are experiencing today and Lumical would like to work with you on becoming your LED lighting partner. We are currently celebrating 30 years of creating lighting along Florida’s Suncoast and have learned a few things in that time that can create the most impressive visual display of LED lighting for all your landscape, structural and interior lighting needs.

Landscape LED Lighting

Converting your existing lighting to LED will provide a number of benefits:

EXTREMELY LONG LIFE
LED tube lights have at least a 55,000 hour life which translates into 26 years at 8 hours of operation a day, 5 days per week.

DURABLE
Since LEDs do not have a filament, they are not damaged under circumstances when a regular incandescent bulb would be broken. Because they are solid, LED bulbs hold up well to jarring and bumping.

Cool
These lights do not cause heat build-up; LEDs produce 3.4 btu’s/hour, compared to 85 for incandescent bulbs. Common incandescent bulbs get hot and contribute to heat build-up in a room. LEDs prevent this heat build-up, here by helping to reduce air conditioning cost in the home.

MERCURY-FREE
No mercury is used in the manufacturing of LEDs. Mercury is essential to a fluorescent bulb’s ability to emit light, but it also highly toxic. It is especially harmful to the brains of both fetuses and children.

MORE EFFICIENT
LED lights use only 2-17 watts of electricity (1/3rd to 1/30th of incandescent or CFL). LED bulbs used in fixtures inside the home save electricity, remain cool and save money on replacement cost since LED bulbs last so long.

COST-EFFECTIVE
Although LEDs are initially expensive, the cost is recouped over time. LED bulb use was first adopted commercially, where maintenance and replacement cost are expensive. But the cost of new LED light bulbs has gone down considerablly in the last few years and are continuing to go down. Today, there are many new LED light bulbs for use in the home, and the cost is becoming less of an issue.

POTENTIAL TAX SAVINGS
Sometimes there are Federal tax credits available for investing in energy efficient lighting.
